In Memory of Tim Bruggeman

The KCMSBL family is saddened by the passing of longtime member Tim Bruggeman, who passed away on May 4, 2026, at the age of 65.

Tim was a dedicated player for the DRays and a proud member of our league for many years. His love for baseball was evident every time he stepped on the field — a passion that extended well beyond our diamonds. Whether it was talking strategy in the dugout or simply enjoying the camaraderie of the game, Tim embodied what KCMSBL is all about.

Off the field, Tim was a man of remarkable depth. He spent 40 years as a Mechanical Engineer at Black & Veatch, was an accomplished trapshooter, an international traveler, and a devoted family man. He leaves behind his wife BJ, daughter Tasia, and grandchildren Cannon and Collins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 28th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Thompson Barn, 11184 Lackman Rd, Lenexa, KS 66219. All who knew Tim are welcome to attend.
